What did you gift yourself for birthday?

It was March 2020. I felt happy and content with my career, family and everything. But what was happening unknowingly is that

  • I wasn’t fitting into most of my clothes
  • I wasn’t able to sit for even 5 minutes on the floor. If I did I would get up with lower back pain. This meant I couldn’t sit down to play blocks, lego with my daughter
  • It was tough to even go cycling nearby with my husband thanks to the immense lethargy I had developed in my body
  • I hated 99% of my photos, and I blamed my husband for the bad photography skills

I weighed myself after many months and to my shock I was 66kilos. The last time I weighed so much was when I was 9 month pregnant. Clearly I was loosing track of maintaining healthy BMI.

I decided to gift myself something special on this birthday. It was going to be Healthy Lifestyle.

I joined a program with virtual trainer(thanks for COVID-19) where he trained by upper body, lower body and some core exercises.

I started eating mindfully.

6 months down after that day, on my birthday I weighed 5.5 kilos less.

I had lost 5.5 kilos of weight in 6 months with healthy eating and regular exercises. I felt happier on my birthday because I felt the change in my inner and outer body. I felt this was the best gift I must have given myself

You can do this as well. And trust me its not for anyone else but you. The power of loving and taking care of yourself is immense.
